Privacy Policy
Storyroom processes account information and recordings so you can create and revisit interviews. For privacy questions or requests, email support@storyroom.app.
1. Information we use
- Account access: your email address, authentication provider user ID, and email verification status. If you sign in with Google, we use your Google account email and authentication information to identify your account. We do not access Google Drive or other Google data.
- Interviews: topics and answers you enter, video and audio you record, transcripts, captions, and edited exports. We use these to save, play, edit, and let you download your interviews.
- Operations: access and error records needed to run and protect the service.
2. Retention and deletion
We keep your account and interview materials until you request deletion. Email the address above from your registered email account to request deletion. After confirming ownership, we delete the account and its recordings, transcripts, and edits. Disk backup snapshots may retain copies for up to seven days before they expire. If a law requires particular information to be retained, we keep only that information for the required period.
3. Service providers and processing locations
Google Cloud Identity Platform handles account authentication. Interview files are stored on a Google Cloud server in the United States. Microsoft Edge TTS receives question text to generate spoken questions. If you enable live captions, your browser's speech recognition feature processes audio according to that browser provider's practices. These external services may process information in other countries. We do not sell your recordings or Google account information for advertising.
4. Security and cookies
We restrict interview access by account and use HTTPS. A secure session cookie keeps you signed in for up to five days. The browser's authentication storage also maintains your Google Cloud Identity Platform sign-in state. Blocking these technologies may prevent sign-in.
5. Your choices and contact
You can download recordings and transcripts after signing in. To request access, correction, deletion, or a stop to processing, email support@storyroom.app. We may confirm account ownership through your registered email.
